Our Wedding

It was the summer of 2021, love was not in the air but rather COVID was. Our story begins amongst the sound of coughing, sneezing, yelling, and every other sound an emergency room can make. Both working in the ER, with Sierra trying to get into nursing school and Emily trying to get into physician assistant school, we bonded over learning medicine while simultaneously complaining about medicine - if you know, you know. It was a bit of a slow burn from friends as it's hard to share feelings when all of our hangouts consisted of Mario Kart and wine until 2 o'clock in the morning. As time wore on, it was hard to ignore the feelings that each had unbeknownst to the other. With Emily stepping up her game of waking up early and providing fresh coffee every shared shift together, the signs were hard to miss. Our time together as coworkers turned to friends and eventually became more...after a "missed kiss", we knew there was no going back. As they say, the rest is history. From backpacking to taking flights throughout the world together, we have had the privilege of creating so many wonderful memories and can't wait to create more with all of you. Thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way, it means everything to us and we cannot wait to celebrate with all of you! See you in Costa Rica! Pura vida!

Friday, August 15First groups of guests arrive! Time to relax and get ready for an exciting week! We're planning a low-key wine and charcuterie meet up at one of the casas.

Saturday, August 16More guests arrive!10:00 am - Yoga Sound Bath @ Jen &amp; Babak's casa3:00 pm - Cooking class with Ana and Marvin - learn to make ceviche, patacones, and gallos pintos - all with a Costa Rican flair!Note that for those guests arriving later, food will be provided from the cooking class!

Sunday, August 17At 4:00 pm, head over to VBA for a We Do BBQ! Bring your appetites and bathing suits! Live music, drinks, delicious food, and wonderful people!

Monday, August 18 Adventure Time - La Leona Waterfall and Inner Tubing! We have an excursion to La Leona, one of our favorite waterfalls in CR, scheduled for Monday, August 18!We'll be traveling to Curbande by van where we'll meet up with our tour guide. It's a beautiful hike along and in a river, then a short swim through a canyon to the cavern and waterfall. We'll stop in Liberia for lunch before returning back to Tronadora.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE AS WE'VE WORKED ON LODGING!The housing arrangements at Vistas Del Lago are almost finalized. We are working with a wonderful couple, Rod and Tanyia, who own Waiting to Exhale. Vistas Del Lago (<a href="https://vistasdellago.com" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://vistasdellago.com</a>) is a gated community about 10 minutes from Vista Bonita Arenal, the wedding ceremony house. We are renting almost every casa/casita/villa that is available in this wonderful little community! Once you enter the community, the roads are paved and there will be 2 or 3 golf carts for use. Imagine hopping in a golf cart and taking a short drive a couple casas over to have coffee or cocktails! Also, there is even food delivery available from a restaurant in Tronadora called Dond' Liz!&nbsp;

Lodging

Transportation is being provided for all scheduled events, including airport pick up and drop off. Andres, our wonderful friend and the best tour guide/driver in Costa Rica, has arranged for 3 vans, along with a 52-person bus. We have a couple of different options for unscheduled events!1. Check the daily van schedules to see if one of the vans is available. (This will be a great option for lunch/dinner in Tronadora or if you want to visit one of the local waterfalls!)2. Arrange a 1 or 2 day rental car with Tanyia. A few of the VDL homeowners make their cars available to rent for guests staying in the community.3. Reach out to our wonderful transportation contact
